Preston Douglas and Tyler Swanner present "A Little Pill"

eventdetail

Preston Douglas’s paintings are intimate recollections of his tumultuous love affair with Roxy (roxicodone). The works consist of gestural abstraction, low-life motifs, and internet-derived collage, which synthesize together to detail the trials and tribulations that come along with his former fatal infatuation.

Tyler Swanner is an artist making digital photographs, videos, and installations. After being diagnosed with advanced glaucoma, Tyler began visually examining the root cause of his disease — a combination of prescribed drugs - as well as the rituals, medicines, illegal substances, tools, and consumer products used in his ongoing treatment.

There will be an opening reception on August 24 and closing reception on August 31. Private viewing appointments are available August 25-30.
