eventdetail

Broadacres was one of the gracious neighborhoods developed near Rice University in the early 20th century. North and South boulevards are lined with houses designed by some of Houston's finest architects, including John Staub, Birdsall Briscoe and William Ward Watkin.

Preservation Houston's 90-minute guided walking tour will look at the exceptional architecture of these homes and will include the stories of the oil, cotton, lumber, banking and railroad barons who built them.

This an exterior architecture tour only. The tour will not go inside any of the houses. Tour participants who walk, bike or use public transportation will receive a $2 discount.
