Attendees to the event include Houston's affluent leaders from the business community and individual philanthropists with a personal commitment to improving child literacy in India. In 2014, the gala, with more than 700 guests, raised more than $1.4 million.
This year's event returns to the Hilton Americas. With an expected RSVP list of 800 guests, the gala welcomes Rukmini Banerji, ASER Centre director, as keynote speaker with Nina Davuluri, Miss America 2014, as emcee.
