Radio host, humorist and author Garrison Keillor is bringing his famous A Prairie Home Companion to Houston for a live broadcast performance at the Wortham Theater Center.
A Prairie Home Companion is a live variety show that centers around the fictional Midwestern town of Lake Wobegon, "where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking and all the children are above average." The show has been broadcast on Public Radio for more than 30 years.
Special guests: The Quebe Sisters Band. The show will be broadcast live on NPR from the Wortham Center's Brown Theater as part of the celebration of radio station KUHF-FM's 60th anniversary.
