The 2016 Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Gala: Hand in Hand, Generation to Generation will be a celebration of women’s health supporters from generation to generation for the past 80 years. The gala, benefiting Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, will be chaired by Gina and Jonathan Carroll, who have planned an evening for guests to dine, dance, and bid at auction for unique items. Funds from the gala will enable Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast to continue providing a wide array of vitally needed, affordable preventive health care services for women and men.

At this year’s gala, Nancy McGregor Manne and Neal Manne will be inducted into the Margaret Sanger Circle. Nancy and Neal have been deeply committed to PPGC's mission and patients. Nancy served on the Planned Parenthood Board of Directors for eight years and as Board Chair from 1997-1999. In 1992, Neal devised and implemented a litigation strategy to defeat efforts by radical anti-choice groups to blockade women’s health clinics in Houston, including the former location of Planned Parenthood heath center on Fannin. Not only did the health center remain open, the trial resulted in a large damages award against the anti-choice groups, and a permanent injunction to protect Planned Parenthood’s patients and personnel. In these and other ways over the past 25 years, Nancy and Neal have made major contributions to Planned Parenthood’s efforts to advance reproductive freedom.
