The Periwinkle Foundation will present Houston-based visual artist Anat Ronen as the official guest artist for the 2016 Making A Mark® program, an exhibition of art and creative writing by children touched by cancer and blood disorders at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers. Ronen has chosen a theme of Texas animals for the 26th annual art exhibit.
For the 2016 Making A Mark collaborative project, Ronen will facilitate a series of workshops during which patients undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders, along with their siblings, will work to create small sections of a larger image created by Anat. The final master project will consist of five large scale images which will be displayed at Texas Children’s Hospital for the grand opening of the 26th Making A Mark® exhibit.
Making A Mark® will feature more than 350 pieces of art representing more than five different countries. The exhibit will spend one year traveling to venues across the city of Houston and the state of Texas. The exhibit will be on display at Texas Children's Hospital for one month.
