Travel the world with tastes and sounds from Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. This year, Mexico will be spotlighted with displays of food, music, art and culture, in addition to a jalapeño eating contest and Grito contest sponsored by MyNurse Home Care, Inc.
The Pearland International Festival features live music on two stages, cultural dance performances, activities, international food and vendor booths, children's entertainment and a kids zone. The Taste of Pearland VIP tent ($40 for adults ages 21 and over) includes tastings of international wines, lagers and ales.
The music lineup includes Mariachi Calmecac, The Willy Collins Band, Zydeco Dots, Galaxy Band, Walter Suhr and Mango Punch and Grupo La Calma.
Parking and shuttle service are free from the Sheryl Searcy Ninth Grade Center, First Baptist Church and Pearland High School Rig parking lot.
