The 2020 Pearls of Art Gala, benefiting the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, will take place as a virtual event. The event blends the beauty of this year’s original theme, a party in the garden of Monet, with the timely message that "Art Heals!"

As part of the gala, urban artist Anat Ronen will create a mural honoring frontline workers at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Through time-lapse video, gala guests will see the mural come to life before their eyes. After the gala, the mural will be on permanent display at Houston Methodist Willowbrook.

Gala honorees include The Hamill Foundation and Mr. Tom Brown, Grants Director, who have been strong supporters of the Pearl since its inception.

Guests who had previously purchased tickets to the gala will receive a catered meal to enjoy in their home. But the Pearl wants the healing power of art to spread throughout our city and beyond. So, all other aspects of the virtual gala will now be open to the community, free of charge.

The Pearls of Art Gala is the largest development event each year for the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, raising approximately half of the museum’s operating funds.

As the only Fine Arts museum in Harris County outside the city center of Houston, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts operates completely through the generous donations of individuals, businesses and foundations from the greater Houston community, and is free to all.
