The Palm presents Making the Menu
It’s a battle of the bisque, a clashing of crab cakes, and a quest for culinary greatness that will leave one student standing with the coveted golden spatula and a signature creation placed on The Palm Houston’s legendary menu. The Palm will host a special “Making the Menu” event will give guests a chance to enjoy a Palm-style brunch buffet while watching a culinary cook-off between four student chefs from The Art Institute of Houston.
As guests feast on the scrumptious brunch menu offered specially for this event – with items ranging from crab cake benedict and vanilla croissant French toast to New York steak and eggs – the students will prepare three Italian-inspired courses, including an amuse bouche, appetizer and entrée, which will be served to a panel of four expert judges. Guests can watch the action unfold on monitors throughout the restaurant that showcase the chefs’ every move as they duel it out in the kitchen. In addition to having an official menu placement at The Palm, the champion will go home with a grand prize of $500. Second and third place will receive $300 and $100 respectively.
