Yellow Rose started in 2010, but has quickly risen to become one of the top bourbon makers outside Kentucky. The company recently achieved a Best In Class award for its Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon (a third-course pour at the dinner) at the American Distilling Institute and a Double Gold for its Yellow Rose Straight Rye Whiskey (arriving with the second course) at the San Francisco Artisan Spirits.

The evening at Ouisie’s begins with passed appetizers and bourbon cocktails before everyone is seated for the dinner. Designed by namesake Elouise “Ouisie” Jones, the restaurant was built to have the feel of a rambling Texas farmhouse, so there could hardly be a better environment to sip on one of Texas' favorite libations.
