More than pre-Halloween Christmas decorations in the malls or rows of Holiday lights appearing on area palm trees, the true sign of the season is when the red dress named Miss Ruby appears at Ouisie’s Table restaurant.

Well, that star of the feast, a vision that has appeared annually for the past 21 years, will celebrate her 22st anniversary of kicking off the holidays at the restaurant with a very bubbly dinner and a fundraising effort for, appropriately, Dress for Success. During the dinner, she will be presented in all her glory before taking her usual place on the wall thereafter.

The seven-course Bubbles of the World Dinner features dishes both local and international, each paired with a champagne or sparkling wine. The evening begins with a complimentary Red Dress Cocktail, a delicate little thing named in honor of Miss Ruby nearly a decade ago. It contains vodka, brandy and champagne and is decorated in holiday colors.

All guests are strongly encouraged to wear red for the evening. A portion of the evening’s sales will be donated to Dress for Success Houston, which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
