Orange Show's Pumpkin Carving and Mask Making Workshop with artist Carter Ernst

eventdetail
Orange Show

Beyond creating your own jack-o-lantern, get into the Halloween spirit with a mask making workshop with celebrated Houston artist Carter Ernst, whose whimsical public art installations can be seen throughout the city. Participants will use everyday objects like milk jugs, women's hosiery and polyester stuffing to create original and elaborate masks that can be used for all types of occasions.

Materials will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring something personal or interesting objects that they might want incorporated into their design. For those interested in just carving pumpkins, this is a BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) event. Carving tools will be provided. Kids and families are welcome.
