Join for a screening of the documentary Art Car: The Movie, hosted by the film's co-directors, Ford Gunter and Carlton Ahrens of Del Monte Films. The film follows Rebecca Bass and her high school class as they prepare an entry for the Houston Art Car Parade. Against the hectic race to finish on time, Bass exposes them to the world of art and the camaraderie of this tight-knit community of artists — offering them a glimpse of what life is like outside of the box.
A pre-party and artist meet-and-greet starts at 6 p.m. The film will begin at dusk. Guests will enjoy beer by Saint Arnold Brewing Company. Food trucks will be onsite to feed hungry guests.
