Imagine a dark stage, a spotlight, a music stand and seven individuals reading aloud their true, personal abortion-related stories. This carefully curated theatrical event features a primarily local lineup of men and women whose stories will enlighten and ultimately uplift viewers as well as contextualize the hotly debated issue of abortion.

Highlights include Houstonian Sherry Merfish who will bravely share her pre-Roe v. Wade abortion story and Dr. Willie Parker, a black Southern Baptist abortion provider and emerging leader of the reproductive rights movement, sharing how he went from being against providing abortions to feeling it is his religious duty to do so. Oral Fixation is currently seeking five more Houston-area residents to share their stories connected to abortion.
