Opera Vista presents Vera of Las Vegas

Opera Vista's production of Vera of Las Vegas, by Daron Hagen and Pulitzer Prize-winner Paul Muldoon, tells the story of two ex-IRA operatives on the run from the INS and two rogue MI-5 agents. Due to a flight mishap, they are stuck in Las Vegas for a day, which leads them to encounter a transvestite, Vera. Vera of Las Vegas deals with reinvention, self-awareness and the nature of love. Its musical style blends cabaret, 70’s folk-rock, Broadway and modern classical – all fused together to create a unique and highly melodic score.

Recommended for mature audiences only.

Opera Vista will be donating a portion of ticket sales to Bering Omega Community Services, a non-profit organization providing support services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
