Marvel at the voices and laugh at Don Pasquale as he makes a fool of himself for love. When Don Pasquale's nephew Ernesto refuses his uncle's selection of a bride, he decides to disinherit him and produce another heir to his fortune himself. When the old bachelor begins searching for a young wife, Ernesto, his girlfriend Norina and Don Pasquale's friend Dr. Malatesta conspire to teach Don Pasquale a lesson and to thwart his efforts to marry.

So begins this comic opera which is full of fun and the incomparably tuneful and evocative music of Donizetti, a master of the bel canto style.
