Showcasing her recent work in paintings, prints, ceramics, installation art and animation mediums, Wendy Wagner explores the bubble shape frame that so often appears in cartoon panels, and uses it as an artistic portal to vignette portraits. Her themes are inspired by her childhood, pets, family and fantasy, working in a surreal style infused by personal nostalgia.
Works from her recent show in Tokyo will be included. The exhibition opens with an artist reception from 5:30 - 9 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view through June 10 with installation and artworks continuing in the upstairs gallery through July 9.
