Opening Reception for Iron: Forged Tempered and Quenched at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft

Iron: Forged, Tempered, Quenched, a tribute to the art of blacksmithing, opens Jan. 15 at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.

The exhibit features more than 40 pieces by 38 artists, including a colossal sculpture installation by Colin McIntyre, the largest single artwork ever displayed at the HCCC.

eXtreme Tea, an exhibition of elaborate and artistic tea infusers and strainers, and Transmutations: Material Reborn, an exhibition of wearable art created from unlikely materials, also open on Jan. 15 and run through March 21.

The Iron exhibit will be on view until May 16.
