This body of new work by San Antonio-based artist Richard Martinez emphasizes subtleties in painterly qualities, composition and shape. The collection continues many of the ideas in Martinez's earlier shaped canvas paintings, introducing carefully considered decorative elements to richly worked painted grounds. NEW continues through Dec. 18.
