Not Tourists focuses on people and places as an expression of the complexity of human experience. Featured artist Dumitri Gorzo's work focuses on people as they relate to a variety of places and the artist's relationship with them, while Tudor Mitroi's work constructs places based on maps, found geographies and imagery of both personal and historical significance, such as those of air raids over Romania during WWII.
In The Clearing, Joey Fauerso explores the dominant themes of Romanticism in the literary and visual arts, and how these themes, including nature, imagination, erotic love and the development of self, are influenced — and in many cases defined by — gender.
Jenny Schlief Stock Photography is an ongoing project in which Jenny Schlief assumes the role of the identity-less models sold to companies for promotional use. The From the Woman series is based on a search in shutterstock and istockphoto called "fun woman." Photography is by Jenny Antill.
