PG Contemporary
Virginia-based textile artist Aaron McIntosh drew on lowbrow romance novels as both a physical and conceptual resource in creating the works for Adam4Adam & Other Boyfriends. Curated by Houston Center for Contemporary Craft curatorial fellow Anna Walker, the exhibition portrays images of desire, but by removing the female figure, underscores the prominence of heterosexual displays of affection in modern culture. Adam4Adam & Other Boyfriends is on view through Nov. 6.
