Enjoy refreshments and visit with our newest Artists-in-Residence (AIRs) while touring their studios and see their latest works. Also being unveiled is contemporary jewelry made using the age-old process of fusing metal and glass together to create bright enamel on display in The Color of Enamel: New Work by Leighelena. Austin jewelry artist Leigh Navarro, of Leighelena, creates enamel jewelry through a process of applying powders and various fragments of glass onto the surface of hand-cut copper shapes and then firing pieces in a kiln. An opening reception will take place from 5:30 - 8 p.m. The exhibition is on view through Jan. 30, 2011.
