Bioluminescence is the first solo exhibition of works by Romanian-born, Texas-based artist Adela Andea, whose illuminated and kinetic sculptures made up of consumer electronics and mass-produced objects submerge the gallery into an ambiguous and mystifying landscape that fluctuates between organic biological forms and glowing technological systems. The result is a testament to the wonder of natural sciences, as well as a prediction of technological advances in the future.

A reception for the artist will be held 6-8:30 p.m. The exhibition is on view through Feb. 5.
