Open Houston, a community group dedicated to civic innovation, hosts a town hall meeting event that explores how to turn a library into a "makerspace," an increasingly popular trend in the library world, something that Houston is primed to execute.

Representatives from local makerspaces, universities, libraries and other civic groups will convene to discuss the topic. Guests will be able to offer suggestions and ask questions. The gathering will be followed by an informal happy hour.
