The original idea of this spirited evening was to give the men in Houston a unique chance to contribute to the museum's collection of art, particularly in the area of sporting life, and to do so while enjoying the camaraderie of an old-time smoker. The area of non-sporting art was added 11 years ago. The result has been the addition of important paintings, photographs, prints, and sculptures to the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The proceeds from this event will be used to purchase works of art voted on by the event’s guests.
