Sébastien Laval, the French maitre d' at La Colombe d'Or, and chef German Mosquera from Restaurant Cinq have been working on a wine dinner based on the book The Judgment of Paris by Stephen Spurrier.

The concept of the "Old vs. New" dinner is simple: Great wines from great producers challenging each other over a dinner especially prepared by Mosquera. The meal will be composed of four courses paired with wines. During the course of the meal, the wines will be poured and tasted blindly. Three of the world's most famous varietals have been chosen. The best French and American producers will challenge each other, enabling guests to draw their own conclusions. 

Laval will offer in-depth knowledge of producers, vintages, varietals and terroirs before revealing which wine was which at the end of each course.
