Octavia Art Gallery hosts world-renowned sculptor Carole A. Feuerman's first solo exhibition in Houston. The show opens in conjunction with the publication of Feuerman's newest book, Swimmers.

Over the course of four decades, Feuerman has established herself as one of the world's most preeminent hyper-realist sculptors. Her works, both monumental and life-sized, take realism to a new level. Known for her sensuous aquatic themes of swimmers and bathers complete with water drops, Feuerman is inspired by her lifelong fascination with the revitalizing effects of water. Her artworks are executed with meticulous detail and have a presence that is both contemporary and classical. Her works celebrate the strength of the figure through the use of images of swimmers.
