In Larry Bell Three Decades of Art, Nicole Longnecker Gallery features selected works of contemporary artist Larry Bell, one of the most influential artists to emerge from the Los Angeles art scene in the 1960s. In 1963, Bell began to explore passing light through glass cubes he vacuum-coated with metallic films. In the late 1970s, Bell started experimenting with metallic films on paper, a process he continues to use today and forms the exhibition's body of work.
In addition, Larry Bell's 6x6 an improvisation exhibition will open Oct. 11 at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa.
On view through Nov. 26.
