Nicole Longnecker Gallery hosts "Larry Bell: A Curatorial Discussion" with Lauren Rosenblum

eventdetail

"Larry Bell: A Curatorial Discussion" with Lauren Rosenblum, curatorial assistant, prints and drawings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston will discuss Bell's works on paper, his impact on contemporary art and his process. Bell is one of the most influential artists to emerge from the Los Angeles art scene in the 1960s. In 1963, Bell began to explore passing light through glass cubes he vacuum coated with metallic films. In the late 1970s, Bell started experimenting with metallic films on paper, a process he continues to use today and forms the exhibition's body of work.
