Next International Film Festival, presented by Next Actor Studio, will feature the theme of "Houston Strong" for its third edition following the catastrophic Hurricane Harvey. The festival will open with the short documentary, Gold Line, from writer-director Lance Childers of Houston, and the feature comedy A Curry on An American Plate, shot in Houston by director San Banarje with actors Rick Fox (NBA Champion, OWN's GreenLeaf), Charlie O'Connell (The Bachelor), Andrea Guasch (Submergence, High School Musical), and several Houston actors.
