Julep celebrates the spirit and spirits of the South, and bourbon is the spirit most often associated with the region. Every day, Alba Huerta will highlight a different bourbon, giving Julep customers the opportunity to sample new, interesting bourbons and learn stories and anecdotes about each. Huerta will also create six additional bourbon cocktails — a mix of classics and house drinks — for a special National Bourbon Heritage Month menu, an addition to Julep's existing menu.

The highlight of the month-long celebration is this tasting of Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23 year. Tickets, which will be sold in advance at Julep, include a 1.5-ounce pour and oysters.
