Roscoe Mitchell is this year's recipient of Nameless Sound's Resounding Vision Award, presented to musicians whose efforts resonate beyond the concert stage. Last year's winner, Alvin Fielder, will present the award before an audience of Houston's most creative minds at the Resounding Vision Award Gala Fundraiser, and the 2009 recipient, Curley Cormier, will provide after-dinner music with his R&B band, the Gladiators.

Arts patrons Sanford and Susan Criner will also be honored. All proceeds benefit Nameless Sound's Creative Music Education Program and Concert Series.
