Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents Ingmar Bergman's Cinema: A Centennial

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, presents Ingmar Bergman’s Cinema: A Centennial. The film series highlights the career of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman (1918–2007), screening of 15 films for the 100th
anniversary year of his birth. In a career that spanned six decades, Bergman directed dozens of films in an astonishing array of tones, ranging from comedies to groundbreaking formal experiments and intimate
explorations of family relationships. All films are screened in Swedish with English subtitles.

From September 7-9, five films will screen at Rice Cinema, with special guest Jan Holmberg, Chief Executive Officer and Head Curator at Ingmar Bergman Foundation, introducing the screening of Bergman Island on Friday, September 7, at 8 pm.
