The Moseley Memorial Music Series at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church presents the Houston Ebony Opera Guild's Of Thee I Sing: A Concert of Great Solos and Ensembles from Musical Theater, Opera, and The African American Spiritual Tradition.
The program at Episcopal High School will include but not be limited to selections from Robert Wright’s Carousel, Aaron Copeland’s The Tender Land, Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, and Flaherty’s Ragtime. Also featured will be some best-loved solos and ensembles from mainstream opera such as Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor.
Proceeds benefit the Houston Ebony Opera Guild and Flood Recovery at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, Meyerland. A reception follows the concert.
