A Venetian legend says that lovers will be granted eternal love and bliss if they kiss on a gondola at sunset under the Bridge of Sighs. The music includes duets from the Madrigals, Book 7 by Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643), with additional music by Monteverdi's contemporaries.
