The Moores School of Music and the Formosa Quartet will present an evening of music spanning beauty, humor, and madness. La Follia (“madness”) is based on 15th century Portuguese folk music, making it history’s oldest pop song. Stephen Prutsman’s scoring of Buster Keaton’s comedic masterpiece Sherlock, Jr. brings this gem from the silent film era to a new level of melodious hilarity. Finally, the Formosa Quartet steps off the beaten path with a set of curious arrangements.
