“In Search Of” is a collaborative project between the UH AURA Contemporary Ensemble and writers in the UH Hispanic Studies Department. The performance features works by Latin American and American Composers, including Chapela, Humet, Lach, Luaces and Rangel.

The AURA Contemporary Ensemble, led by Director Rob Smith and Assistant Director Alejandro Basulto-Martinez, is dedicated to the performance of contemporary chamber music, with an emphasis on works that represent the trends and styles of the last two decades. This innovative and professional caliber ensemble performs a wide variety of American and international composers, many of whom have come to campus for the performance of their music.
