Moody Center for the Arts and Project Row Houses will host an Artists-in-Dialogue event that brings together two creative minds in a conversation around the visual arts and music.
Organized in conjunction with the Moody's fall exhibition "Urban Impressions: Experiencing the Global Contemporary Metropolis," the visual artist Robin Rhode, who lives and works in Berlin, will be joined by Flash Gordon Parks, an ethnomusicologist and DJ from Houston. During their conversation, they will evoke their individual practice, and their work with different communities, and explore how urban culture is informed by various narratives from the past that shape our present.
The conversation will be moderated by Danielle Burns Wilson, Curator & Art Director, Project Row Houses, and Frauke V. Josenhans, Curator, Moody Center for the Arts.
