Moody Center for the Arts will host a special evening of live performances that will activate several of the music-based artworks in their current exhibition, "Soundwaves: Experimental Strategies in Art + Music."
Headlining this multidisciplinary event, artist Raven Chacon will lead musicians with Houston-based Nameless Sound in an outdoor performance of his graphic score American Ledger No. 1. The program continues with a procession to the galleries led by dancer Joseph Stevens, wearing Nevin Aladag's Body Instruments where Shepherd School student Nick Finley will perform on Aladag's Resonator Percussion. Completing the music-filled evening will be a punk guitarist activating Naama Tsabar's Transitions.
