The Montie Beach Civic Club will bring back Day of the Dead (“Dia de los Muertos”) in the Heights. The focus of this festival has been, and will be, to provide residents within the Greater Heights a fun and educational Dia de los Muertos experience. Some consider Dia de los Muertos to be among the most vibrant in Latin America and in keeping with that tradition; the performers for this event will be curated to give the audience an immersion of Latin American sights and sounds. In addition, they will be partnering with nearby elementary school kids and providing interactive exhibits that detail the rich culture and significance of Dia de los Muertos to the Latin American community.

Performances include Mariachi Nueva Generacion, Folklorico Mixteco Ballet, HIIT Theatre, Field Elementary, and Browning Elementary. Food will be available from food trucks and vendors, and there will be alcohol for sale on site for those guests over 21. Local vendors will be selling a variety of merchandise.
