The Mayans say Dec. 21, 2012 is the end of the world. Spend it with the coolest crowd in town at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston's last Mixed Media Designed by IKEA bash of the year, a multi-sensory party featuring high-energy live music, DJs, cocktails and dancing.

The Tontons, hot off of their recent national tour, will bring a mix of indie/psychedelic/rock music to the late-night bash, along with Austin's BOAN and DJs Jessica Lozano and Ceeplus Bad Knives.

In addition to furnishing the Mixed Media event, IKEA will partner with artist TKNY, who will paint live on stage during the event, with the final product auctioned off in the spring at a museum benefit. The galleries will be open for visitors to explore treasures from the Mayan Empire in the Glassell Collection of pre-Columbian Gold.

The first 100 guests in the door receive a limited-edition giveaway created by local designer Ali Rapp in partnership with IKEA Houston.
