This romantic ballet takes place in Scotland and is filled with delightfully mysterious characters such as the forest fairies (sylphs). The work is set to the music of Norwegian composer Baron Herman Severin Løvenskiold.
Missouri City Ballet will host Fairyfest at 1 p.m., just before the April 13 matinee performance. Children can dress up in their favorite costumes and join the company's ballerina fairies for cookies and lemonade before the show.
