Much like other women in country music, Miranda Lambert writes and sings songs about finding love, experiencing heartbreaks and being a girl with country roots, but what separates Lambert from the others is that she is not afraid to add a little edge to her lyrics. Her single, and title-track of her first album, "Kerosene," set Lambert's distinct tone as she talked about burning down the house of a cheating boyfriend. The album debuted at No. 1 on the country charts and went on to earn the newcomer several nominations, including a Grammy nod.
