Mildred's Umbrella Theatre Company presents a reading of A Heroine Free Summer by local poet and playwright Janet Lowery. Directed by Chesley Krohn, the reading features Charles Krohn, Jennifer Decker, Patricia Duran, Christie Guidry, Elizabeth Seabolt-Esparza, Lyndsay Sweeney, Eddie Edge and Darnea Olson.

The dream of an idyllic summer at a family lake house in upstate New York is disrupted by old allegiances among the sisters and confessions of drug use by two of the family's teenage sons. The super-hero among the sisters has to figure out whether to try and save the clan or cut and run amidst these new eruptions on the grounds of the family estate.
