Get an up-close look at Houston's new art installation, METRORail Arts in Transit Exhibition: Art, Architecture and Transit. METRO is expanding its light-rail system with three new lines, adding 15.3 miles and 24 stations to existing service. The new light-rail lines will also spotlight Houston's diverse culture through vibrant Arts in Transit displays.
Each of the new light-rail stations will showcase original, one-of-a-kind artwork from 22 artists, 20 of them from our Houston area. The Arts in Transit exhibit highlights the unique architectural elements in addition to the art at each station. Architectural renderings and images submitted by the selected artists are incorporated into the displays.
