METdance will present its annual summer kick-off, Sizzling Summer Dance, a night of electrifying dance under the stars.
The evening will include the world premiere of "oso/sos" by New York-based choreographer Sydney Skybetter, a work that reflects his love of contemporary dance and interest in emerging technologies; the world premiere of "Significantly Other," a work by the 2015 Emerging choreographer Margot Gelber, who is originally from Houston; an excerpt of Jess Hendricks' recent premiere "Clearly stated and evenly applied?" with the Apollo Chamber Players and one of METdance company's most celebrated works -- "Consumed" by Kate Skarpetowska; and a performance from MET too Youth Company, a non-competitive youth training troupe.
Free tickets are available for the covered seating area, while they last, at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office from 10:30 am to 1 pm on the day of the performance. If tickets remain after 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time. Open seating is also available on the hill.
