For its Winter musicale, the Meridian Ensemble String Quartet takes on the exhilarating String Quartet Opus 27 by Edvard Grieg, the last finished quartet by Joseph Haydn and the only string quartet composition by Italian opera giant Giacomo Puccini.

This eclectic program of works from the end of Classical era to the peak of Nordic Romanticism to the thoroughly operatic Italian idiom will be presented by the musicians of Meridian Ensemble, composed of Dominika Dancewicz and Johnny Chang, violins; and Olive Chen, cello. The group will be joined by Houston Symphony violist Wei Jiang.
