The Meridian Ensemble will be closing its performance season with the famous String Quartet in F Major by Maurice Ravel. Also on the program are Mozart's The Hunt String Quartet and several musical surprises, including miniatures by impressionist composers Claude Debussy and Gabriel Faure.
Ravel's String Quartet is filled with painterly imagery, wide brush strokes of color and plenty of sublime emotion. Throughout the performance, expect the musicians to provide short bits of historical context for each piece.
The string quartet is comprised of Dominika Dancewicz and Johnny Chang, violins; Dawn Whipp, viola; and Olive Chen, cello.
