"Dvorák’s America" will feature music from some of the most exciting and in-demand living composers today, highlighted by the American composer Missy Mazzoli (the first women to be commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera) and in-demand English composer Anna Clyne, whose piece Within Her Arms is a tribute to her late mother.

Dvorák’s American Quartet rounds out this program, a work which recalls his famous New World Symphony. The full string section of Mercury will perform, led by bassist Maxime Bibeau.
