The Conservancy team of the Memorial Park Conservancy will be leading out groups on the South Side trails during the National Trails Day. Participants will learn about the ecology of the Park, what makes Memorial Park unique, and the Conservation work going on. Guests will also be allowed to explore on their own, stop by to pick up a trail map, or do a self-guided scavenger hunt for kids.

There will be trail volunteer projects in conjunction with Greater Houston Off-Road Biking Association for those who are interested to volunteer in helping to maintain the trails. Bikers will benefit from REI's onsite offering free tune-ups throughout the event and mini sessions on how to change a bike tire and fix a flat. The rest can meet the team from Axis Earth, Inc. who connect outdoors and fitness-loving people; grab some delicious food from Snap Kitchen Memorial Park; or pick up a granola bar courtesy of Nature Valley, enjoy a beer from Southern Star Brewing Company, and get some frozen custard from Shake Shack.
